Minutes March 2015
Regular Meeting of the Ohio Town Board was held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Recreation Building
The following Officials were present:
Absen tSupervisor: Scott Bagetis
Deputy Supervisor: Jeff Greene
Town Clerk: Sandra Gates
Councilmembers: George Lawson, Ed Luther, Jason Maher and Gordon Roark
Highway Superintendent: Jim Nightingale
Also present: Secretary Pat Reuter, Bookkeeper Ruth Roark, Dog Control Officer Gary Phillips and several Town residents
The meeting was called to order by Deputy Supervisor Greene at 7:00 PM.
Pledge of Alligance was said by all.
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on Feburary10, 2015 were read and approved on motion by Councilmember Maher, second by Councilmember Lawson. So carried.
Minutes of theWorkshop Meeting held on Feburary 17, 2015 were read and approved on motion by Councilmember Maher, second by Councilmember Roark. So carried.
Supervisor’s Report and Abstract #3 General Fund #56 through #73 totaling $21,234.56 and Highway Fund #62 through #87 totaling$140,298.75 were approved on motion by Councilmember Lawson, second by Councilmember Roark. So carried.
CODES: Monthly report given to Supervisor.
HIGHWAY: Nightingale stated the Town of Fairfield would like to purchase a V Plow from the Town. He has three that are not in use at this time as he does not have a truck that they can fit on. Board members agreed to have the Town of Fairfield look at the plows and Board members will make a decision at the March 16, 2015 Workshop Meeting.
ALCOHOL PERMISSION: Councilmember Lawson made a motion to approve alcohol at the Recreation Building on March 22, 2015, second by Councilmember Maher. So carried.
SARA GRANT: Town Clerk Gates stated the records for digitizing are all ready to ship, and thanked Ruth Roark and Pat Reuter for their help.
ATV LAW: ATV Club would like to meet with Supervisor Bagetis.
ROAD SIGNS: Councilmember Roark stated the Town Sign on State Route 365 needs to be replaced.
Nightingale has ordered signs No Motorized Vechicles for the Monument. Councilmember Maher suggested a snow fence be installed around the monument. Nightingale will install the signs first and see if that works.
Councilmember Luther would like a new sign for the Recreation Hall.
