Workshop March 15 2015
Workshop Meeting of the Ohio Town Board was held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the Town Office
The following Officials were present:
Supervisor: Scott Bagetis
Town Clerk: Sandra Gates
Councilmembers: George Lawson, Ed Luther, Jason Maher and Gordon Roark
Highway Superintendent: Jim Nightingale
Also present: Codes Enforcement Officer Jeff Greene
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Bagetis at 6:00 PM.
Pledge of Alligance was said by all.
BIDS: Supervisor Bagtis opened the following two bids:
Steete Ponte Chevrolet
2015 Chevrolet Model 2500 crew cab $31,716.00
Trade in -23,000.00
Total $ 8,716.06
Carbone Auto Group
2015 GMC Model 2500 crew cab $41,950.00
Trade in - 36,328.50
Total $ 5,621.50
Board members discussed the purchase. Board members want to keep the rack, light, floor mats, gas tank, plow frame, tires, rims and plow.
Councilmember Maher made a motion to purchase the 2015 GMC 2500 crew cab from Carbone Auto Group with the 2012 trade in at a cost of $5,621.50, second by Councilmember Roark.
Board members would like Nightingale to research an extended warrenty.
Roll Call Vote: Councilmember’s Lawson-aye, Luther-aye, Roark-aye, Maher-aye and Supervisor Bagetis-aye. So carried.
The Town Attorney Karen Mowers has requested the Town Board sign a Disclosure Statement/Waiver of Conflict Interest so she can act as as the Poland Fire Department’s Attorney. Board members discussed the issue and signed the Disclosure Statement/Waiver of Conflict Interest.
LOCAL LAW #1-2015 CHANGE OF GRIEVANCE DAY DATE : Supervisor Bagetis explained the need to change the date of grievance day, as the assessor has already been committed to another Town for that date the new date will be on June 3, 2015.
Councilmember Roark made a motion to have a Public Hearing on Tuesday April 14, 2015 at the Recreation Hall at 7:00 PM, second by Councilmember Maher. So carried.
ROAD SIGN: Councilmember Roark suggested the new Town Sign on State Route 365 have a backer board.
