Meeting, Feb. 9, 2016
Regular Meeting of the Ohio Town Board was held on Tuesday, February 9. 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Recreation Building
The following Officials were present:
Supervisor: Scott Bagetis
Town Clerk: Sandra Gates
Council member’s: George Lawson. Ed Luther, Gordon Roark and David Mower
Highway Superintendent: James Nightingale
Also present: Book Keeper Ruth Roark, Secretary Pat Reuter, Codes Enforcement Officer Jeff Greene, Dog Control Officer Gary Phillips, and several Town residents
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Bagetis at 7:00 PM.
Minutes of the Organizational Meeting held on January 12, 2016 were read and approved on motion by Council member Roark, second by Council member Luther. Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on January 12, 2016 were read and approved on motion by Council member Mower, second by Council member Luther. So Carried.
Supervisor’s Report and Abstract #2 General Fund #31 through #53 totaling $18,157.47 and Highway Fund #23 through #51 totaling$100,198.63 were approved on motion by Council member Lawson, second by Council member Roark. So carried.
Supervisor Bagetis will be on vacation and Council member’s Roark and Lawson will sign the checks.
Supervisor Bagetis stated he has sent the auditors all the financial for the year 2015 before filing with New York State.
The Dog Control Agreement will be signed by the Supervisor.
CODES: The monthly report was given to the Supervisor.
HIGHWAY: John Deere Loader Warranty was discussed Council member Roark made a motion to approve a seven year $11,160.00 Warranty for the John Deere Loader, second by Council member Mower. So carried. Nightingale stated the warranty would roll over to a new Loader if one was purchased. There will be a Highway Workshop Meeting on Monday February 29, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Town Office.
RECREATION: The skating rink is open. The Recreation Commission will hold a meeting in March to discuss the Ohio Days.
Supervisor Bagetis stated the Recreation Commission needs to hold a regular scheduled monthly meeting with minutes.
NORTH LAKE LIGHTING: Half of the lights have been installed and the lighting is 50% better.
