Meeting, April 12, 2016
Regular Meeting of the Ohio Town Board was held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Recreation Building
The following Officials were present:
Supervisor: Scott Bagetis
Town Clerk: Sandra Gates
Councilmember’s: George Lawson. Ed Luther, Gordon Roark and David Mower
Highway Superintendent: James Nightingale
Also present: Book Keeper Ruth Roark, Secretary Pat Reuter, Tax Collector Carol Smith, Codes Enforcement Officer Jeff Greene and several Town residents
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Bagetis at 7:00 PM.
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on March 8, 2016 were read and approved on motion by Councilmember Lawson, second by Councilmember Luther. So Carried.
Supervisor’s Report and Abstract #4 General Fund #78 through #108 totaling $23,801.23 and Highway Fund #76 through #101 totaling $62,181.25 were approved on motion by Councilmember Mower, second by Councilmember Lawson. So carried.
CODES: The monthly report was given to the Supervisor.
HIGHWAY: Nightingale stated the ice machine has been fixed. The spring and fusible link for the kitchen door have been ordered.
He gave board members quotes from Suit Kote for the following Town Roads:
North Lake 1.54 miles paved
Figert Road 0.17 miles paved total for both roads $72,755.06
Figert Road 2.21miles paved to Millwood Hill Road
Figert Road 1.23 mile paved to Gray Wilmurt Road total $74,331.79
Nightingale stated he will have a definite amount for CHIPS monies tomorrow. If there is enough monies left he would like to oil and stone the Harvey Bridge Road.
The Dodge Super duty has been delivered. They are working on the Ford.
BALL FIELD: The ball field will be done after snow bash. Councilmember Mower stated the Recreation Commission would like to purchase a refrigerator for the field.
TRASH DAY: Spring trash day will be May 14 between 8:00 to 12:00.
Red trash bags are being ripped open by crows on Hooper Dooper Avenue and Conway Road. Nightingale contact Left Over Express about a container at the ends of the Roads.
WORKSHOP MEETING: Nightingale would like workshop meeting to discuss CHIPS and trucks.
BLEACHERS: Councilmember Roark stated the bleachers need repair and millings put under them. Nightingale would like to have new bleachers purchased. Board members discussed the Regular Meeting

bleachers and would like to purchase two this year. Supervisor Bagetis will research grants and pricing.
ATV LAW: Supervisor Bagetis stated the ATV Club needs to make a map of trails and roads to connect them before presenting it to the board to pass. Nightingale stated the ATV Club is working on it.
SENIOR CITIZENS: President Laura McAvey stated the Seniors are going to Auburn to see a Broadway show and have dinner. Laura stated the board used to give the Seniors $500.00 a year and they would like the Town Board to pay for this trip. Councilmember Roark made a motion to approve the $500.00, second by Councilmember Mowers. So carried.
Carol Smith would like to organize a road clean up for the Town. The issue was discussed. Nightingale will try to get bags. Laura McAvey said she will put on the radio. Supervisor Bagetis will contact the School. It will be on Saturday April 30, 2016 at 9:00AM at the Recreation Hall.
Councilmember Lawson made a motion to adjourn at 8:15 PM, second by Councilmember Luther. So carried.
