Meeting, March 8, 2016
Regular Meeting of the Ohio Town Board was held on Tuesday, March 8. 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Recreation Building
The following Officials were present:
Supervisor: Scott Bagetis
Town Clerk: Sandra Gates
Councilmember’s: George Lawson. Ed Luther, Gordon Roark and David Mower
Highway Superintendent: James Nightingale
Also present: Book Keeper Ruth Roark, Secretary Pat Reuter, Codes Enforcement Officer Jeff Greene, Dog Control Officer Gary Phillips, and several Town residents
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Bagetis at 7:00 PM.
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on February 9, 2016 were read and approved on motion by Councilmember Roark, second by Councilmember Mower. Minutes of the Workshop Meeting held on February 29, 2016 were read, corrected and approved on motion by Councilmember Lawson, second by Councilmember Luther. So Carried.
Supervisor’s Report and Abstract #3 General Fund #77 through #53 totaling $18.756.64 and Highway Fund #52 through #75 totaling$101,175.48 were approved on motion by Councilmember Lawson, second by Councilmember Roark. So carried.
CODES: The monthly report was given to the Supervisor. Jeff attended a training conference last week. He stated the new code book should be ready in June.
HIGHWAY: Nightingale will attend a meeting in Albany tomorrow with the Highway Superintendents to lobby for CHIPS monies.
RECREATION: The Recreation Commission will hold a meeting this week to discuss the Ohio Days.
NORTH LAKE LIGHTING: Has been completed and the lighting has doubled.
HIGHWAY: Nightingale stated the night shift will end on April 1, 2016. There is a lot of work that can be done by the night shift if they are not plowing. Next week there will be only one man working the night shift.
Nightingale stated the dirt roads will be posted for weight limits tomorrow due to road conditions.
BASEBALL FIELD: Councilmember Roark stated the infield needs to have top soil.
BUILDINGS: Nightingale will check the ice machine and install a fusible link on the sliding kitchen door.
Councilmember Lawson made a motion to adjourn at 7:32 PM, second by Councilmember Luther. So carried.
