Regular Meeting of the Ohio Town Board was held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Recreation Building
The following Officials were present:
Supervisor: Scott Bagetis
Town Clerk: Sandra Gates
Councilmembers: George Lawson, Gordon Roark, Ed Luther and Michelle Barrows
Highway Superintendent: James Nightingale
Also present: Secretary Pat Reuter, Bookkeeper Ruth Roark, Codes Enforcement Officer Jeff Greene, Tax Colllector Carol Smith, Assessors David Rhea and Berdet Barrows and several town residents
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Bagetis at 7:00 PM.
The Pledge of Alligance was said by all.
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on August 14, 2012 were read, corrected and approved on motion by Councilmember Barrows, second by Councilmember Lawson. So carried.
Supervisor’s Report and Abstract #9 General Fund #189 through #210 in the amount of $39,584.61 and Highway Fund #204 through #220 totaling $37,905.76 was approved on motion by Councilmember Roark, second by Councilmember Luther. So carried.
TRANSFER: Transfer from General Fund $750.00 from account A5010.4 Highway Superintendent Contractual, to General Fund account A5010.2 Highway Superintendent Equipment, motion made by Councilmember Lawson, second by Councilmember Roark. So carried.
Supervisor Bagetis is working on the 2013 Budget and will try to get each line item to an actual expense figure and use a contingency account for unexpended cost. He would like the figures to be actual cost and revenue should equal expenses.
CODES: Monthly report given to the Supervisor.
HIGHWAY: Nightingale discussed the Shared Services Agreement and would like to include the Towns of Schuyler, Russia, Norway and Newport. Councilmember Lawson made a motion to designate Supervisor Bagetis to be the signatory on the Shared Services Agreement, second by Councilmember Barrows. So carried.
The millings are being stored behind the garage.
RECREATION: Fitness Trail needs volunteers for installation of equipment stations on Saturday September 29th at 8:00 AM.
Volunteers needed for the Snowbash on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
TRASH DAY: Fall trash day will be September 26th, 27th and 28th from 12:00 PM to 6: PM

RADIOS: Waiting for a test antenna at Sand Hill.
WEBSITE: Peter Rashford is working on it.
COMMUNITY INPUT: Jason Gokey would like the speed limit lowered on the Gray Wilmurt Road near the Black Creek intersection as there are small children that live in that area.
Councilmember Roark made a motion to send a letter to Herkimer County Highway Department to request lowering the speed limit, second by Councilmember Barrows. So carried.
Councilmember Roark would like markers put on the property lines that were surveyed for the Town.
Supervisor Bagetis made a motion to go into executive session to discuss Union Negotiations and Litigations at 7:50 PM, second by Councilmember Lawson. So carried.
Councilmember Barrows made a motion to return to regular session at 8:00 PM, second by Councilmember Roark. So carried.
Councilmember Luther approved hiring Mackenzie Hughes LLP for litigation for land assessments, second by Councilmember Lawson. So carried.
Gordon Schumacher requested permission to store a boat at the Gray Armory, after discussing the issue; no decision at this time until the roof condition is verified.
Councilmember Barrows made a motion to adjourn at 8:25 PM, second by Councilmember Luther. So carried.
